The Windham Hill Inn is a lovely getaway spot. The landscaping is beautiful, with scenic views that immediately set a relaxing tone. My room, the Matilda room, was unique and well appointed. I appreciated the private deck overlooking the meadow and mountains. Breakfast was a standout, with a menu to order from instead of a typical buffet, which made for a more personalized dining experience. Unfortunately, I encountered some issues during my stay. The trail we ventured on was unmaintained and hard to navigate, limiting our outdoor activities. The tennis courts were out of commission, which was disappointing. Service in the dining room could be improved. having a small staff meant they had to juggle multiple roles, sometimes leading to delays. While I enjoyed my time overall, these aspects hindered a perfect experience.

Couple looking for a peaceful getaway
The room was cozy with a fireplace that made it easy to unwind even after a long day. They also had homemade cookies and muffins waiting for us, something I didn't expect but was much appreciated.
It wasn’t inexpensive but the overall experience was worth it.
